Pru See

Artist Statement:

I paint and draw places. Places with deep historic roots are my favorites, and the old buildings there. These not only offer wonderful bold blocks and lines for an artist, within the fluidity of landscape, but they also enshrine memory and suggest story. the garden structures and summerhouse within the grounds of Monhonk Mountain House, built of rough timbers form the woods around, seem to grow on their own form the rock ledges and walkways.
